Experiences of the Professional Trading Programme

Hear from individuals who are at different points in their career, from just having completed the course ranging through to traders who undertook the course many years ago and have built successful trading careers.

Outplacement Plus

For Individuals

Outplacement Plus is designed for professionals in financial services firms who harbour an ambition to get into trading, but as yet have not managed to make this step. A redundancy is clearly a setback. With Outplacement Plus, you get the opportunity to train to become a trader, cover the theory behind liquidity provision and then crucially get to have a go yourself, in both a simulated and live market. After the four week course – if you have what it takes – you can elect to partner with Schneider to start your career as a self employed trader. If you decide that it isn’t for you or are not offered the opportunity to partner with Schneider as a self employed trader, you receive outplacement support to help you identify your next career step, plan your campaign and secure a new role.

You can download our full client brochure here to work out if this is the right step for you, including full details of the programme, how the partnership with Schneider works, what you are offered in terms of outplacement support and FAQs.

If you want to visit us to find out more or sign up for the next available programme, phone Michael Higgins, the Outplacement Plus Manager on 020 7071 0364 or email us on OP@schneidertrading.com with your contact details and we will get back to you with further information. Programmes are run every two weeks throughout the year.

For Financial Services Firms

Most financial services firms already offer some degree of outplacement to their “at risk” or redundant employees and some additionally offer a discretionary training grant to support this group if they want to retrain into another career.

All outplacement is beneficial to the employee at some level and supports the employers brand and reputation as a fair employer.

Outplacement Plus additionally offers a real vocational opportunity for your employees who may wish to get into trading. When people are considering changing careers, there are various “barriers to entry” which may include knowledge, skills and financial resources required to make the change. For some roles these barriers are low – for trading careers these barriers tend to be higher and it can be difficult to identify an employer and development path to get there. Outplacement Plus doesn’t eliminate these barriers completely but it significantly reduces them for those who are committed.

Schneider, the Training Team and the Outplacement Team all have excellent track records in their respective disciplines to effectively deliver as promised. Find out about us and how the process works for both you and your employees by downloading our full employer brochure here.

If you are interested in offering Outplacement Plus as a compliment to your existing outplacement provision, phone Michael Higgins on 020 7071 0364, or email op@schneidertrading.com. We are happy to arrange a visit to our premises so you can see the offering in person, or we can come to you to discuss further.
