Graduate Training Scheme

Schneider’s graduate training scheme is known as the Professional Trader Programme (PTP). This provides comprehensive training for graduates planning to launch a career in the City as a trader and could result in a full-time, self-employed trading role with Schneider. Established over 12 years ago, the graduate training scheme offers candidates the chance to bridge the gap between full time education and a professional career. Fully funded, the course will not cost graduates anything to complete, but is for those with an aptitude for figures and a desire to succeed. Schneider is offering a professional and fully supported environment for graduates to establish their career.

The course, lasting four weeks, assumes graduates have no prior knowledge of trading or the markets. Initially it covers basic trading and market terminology and ultimately helps them develop professional strategies and a winning approach through a mix of theory, psychological assessment and hands-on practical skills. Maintaining a realistic experience, graduates use the same systems as Schneider’s established traders, learning how to trade commodities, short term interest rates and government bonds.

Assessment is made throughout the graduate training scheme, and only those who are considered proficient will successfully complete the four week course. Those who are successful will become part of the comprehensive three-year post course coaching and mentorship scheme on a self-employed basis.
